Lars Ulrich

Rolling Stone interviewed Metallica’s drummer, Lars Ulrich, at their Record Store Day signing event northern California in USA last week. Through the interview, Lars talked about what he has been doing recently and the strong roots of the relation between him and record store. He also touched upon several issues such as, copyright infringements and its reputation in Napster case, the recent position of Metal music against alternative, grunge, rap-rock, etc. music trends.

Also, there are some pieces of information about their upcoming album and relationship between Metallica guys and Rick Rubin, who is record producer and has been working on Metallica’s yet untitled ninth studio album.

In my opinion, hopefully, their upcoming album will underline the Metal is fucking alive and well and doing better than it has in many years as Lars emphasized whilst the interview.

Due to uncertainties and big disappointments with their eight studio album, St. Anger, I’m anxious regarding how unique the new album will be. Well, let’s wait and see what happens.

If you are willing to check out the whole interview, you can find it here.
